SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.

To drive our continued growth, SeatGeek is looking for a Senior Manager of SEO to join our Growth Marketing team.

In an industry that is very search focused and dynamic, you will develop and execute our strategy to capture and grow transactions through SEO, working alongside our product, marketing and data science teams to keep SeatGeek on the leading edge of organic search.

What you'll do

  • Ensure SEO remains a critical and growing contributor to overall sales through aggressive vision, prioritization and goal planning
  • Own the relationship with our external partners
  • Build and organize a cross-functional SEO working team, providing strategic direction, prioritization decisions and coaching across agency and internal resources
  • Partner closely with dedicated partners in Product/engineering to ensure core website is SEO-optimized
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align our marketing strategies with enterprise-wide initiative
  • Clearly and concisely dimensionalize SEO health and performance for leadership and broad audiences on a regular basis
  • Find new strategies to acquire legitimate, editorial links to SeatGeek and perform keyword research to identify new keywords we're targeting

What you have

  • 8+ years of experience working on SEO, with at least 6 years of in-house or at agency experience
  • Existing knowledge of SQL, Looker (or another BI tool) and basic web development (HTML + JavaScript) is preferred. Anything you can point to that shows hands-on experience is great. Have you built a website? Helped one rank directly? Built a tool for automating some SEO workflow? Great! We want to hear about it.
  • Data savviness, and the ability to pull insights out of complex data sets
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to clearly and concisely articulate technical recommendations and insights leveraging only the most compelling data and analytics for support.
  • Prioritization and Trade-off skills: comfortable and adept at making regular prioritization and trade-off decisions that maximize short-term and long-term outcomes, given finite Product and team resources and competing priorities
  • Familiarity with tools like ahrefs, Botify, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Search Console

Perks

  • Equity stake
  • Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you’d like or 100% remotely
  • A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
  • Flexible PTO
  • Up to 16 weeks of paid family leave
  • 401(k) matching program
  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
  • Annual subscriptions to Headspace, Ginger.io, and One Medical
  • $120 a month to spend on tickets to live events
  • Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music

The salary range for this role is $118,000 - $180,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.

An Insider's view of SeatGeek

What are some social events your company does?

The importance of gathering is baked into our DNA at SeatGeek! We always take time to celebrate milestones together, whether in person or virtually, and, while we throw an amazing End of Year party, my favorite events are a little more personal! We empower employees to create their own social events from fitness classes to crafting or or tv nights!

Workplace & People Programs Manager

What projects are you most excited about?

An ongoing project I am excited about is the redesign of one of the core flows in our app. It is a high impact, cross functional initiative and I love how we’ve been able to implement a new technical foundation, introduce new features, and improve the user experience. I’m looking forward to the initial release and gathering insights from consumers!

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

We encourage teams to solve problems and create delightful customer experiences, not implement pre-defined solutions. Our teams leverage research/data to understand our customers needs and behaviors, but we also believe that giving teams the space to be creative during a discovery phase opens the possibilities of what they can come up with.
