FanDuel is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This person will possess excellent communication and high attention to detail. This person will serve as a coordinator and communicator between the finance team and other internal / external stakeholders. The ideal candidate must be able to work with a minimal amount of supervision and act as a problem solver.

Responsibilities

• Enter invoices in NetSuite and obtain approvals from department & internal managers
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as cash, prepaid, accruals, deferred rent, etc.
• Update cash reconciliations daily & code invoices to correct accounts
• Record entries such as prepaid amortization and accruals
• Interface with internal departments to ensure information provided is complete and accurate support is provided
• Review P&L balance sheet, investigate variances and propose correcting entries as needed
• Summarize the activity in certain key P&L accounts monthly
• Perform analysis of merchant service activity monthly
• Maintain W-9s for all new vendors
• Create new vendor records and enter all relevant information in NetSuite
• Record journal entry for credit card transactions based on monthly statements
• Ensure all transactions are accounted for and coded
• Assist with compiling information to send 1099s to all users and vendors required to receive a 1099
• Prepare journal entries such as accruals and allocations

Skills & Experience

• 2 years solid accountancy & finance experience
• Familiarity with accounting software, preferably NetSuite
• Previous experience in a start-up fast paced environment
• Experience with vendor maintenance
• Experience with credit card coding transactions
• Bachelor's Degree
