What you'll do

As the Tax Senior Analyst, Audits, you’ll assist with all aspects of Authentic’s tax controversy, compliance, provision, and planning matters, with particular emphasis on compiling and analyzing data that supports the Company’s tax minimization and risk mitigation efforts.  Collaborating cross-functionally with internal tax, business, finance, and legal department colleagues, you’ll also partner with ABG’s external advisors and counsel to develop tax audit defense and refund claim documentation.   

What you'll be working on 

  • Conduct comprehensive data gathering and analysis to support tax audit defense and refund claims.
  • Liaise collaboratively with the Company’s business, finance, and legal teams to compile documents and workpapers relevant to tax audit defense, refund claims, and strategic planning projects.
  • Collaborate with internal colleagues and the company’s third-party tax advisors with respect to the preparation of the US partnership, US corporate and international income tax filings.
  • Review non-income tax filings, including Washington B&O, Ohio CAT, and Sales/Use Tax returns, to mitigate potential tax exposure and to identify potential tax minimization opportunities.
  • Track federal/state tax audits and assist in responding to information document requests (IDRs) and to provide Tax function leadership with dashboard visibility to pending audits and refund claims.
  • Track federal/state tax notices received and assist in resolving notices with the tax authorities.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Manager, Tax Provisions and the FP&A team to ensure alignment regarding treatment of potential FIN 48 and FAS 5 tax exposures relevant to preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual tax provisions.
  • Prepare supporting analysis required as part of the tax provision calculations.
  • Support preparation of the income tax footnote and related financial statement tax disclosures
  • Conduct tax research and monitor changes in tax laws and regulations impacting the company.
  • Support special projects and initiatives including, but not limited to, transfer pricing studies, aircraft monitoring and due diligence requests.

 Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, with strong data analytics competencies
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience, including involvement with SALT audits
  • Big 4’ background a plus
  • Experience in partnership taxation a plus
  • Proficiency with foreign language(s) is a plus

 

Primary Location Salary:

$90,000 - $115,000
