Technical Project Manager

The Technology
The Wink Platform spans multiple components include iOS and Android apps, a suite of services, the Wink Hub, and more. These are implemented using technologies such as Swift, Java, Ruby, Linux and C.
The Candidate
With a small team building a big platform, it’s important to make sure that all the components work well together, and to maximize the effectiveness of the team. We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager to help make this happen. Technical knowledge, curiosity, drive to improve processes, and passion for the IOT space are key.
The Responsibilities
- Coordinate deliverables and schedules for major components within the Wink platform.
- Keep the team happy, and enable them to create great results.
- Drive closure to technical issues by working with Wink and partner engineers.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams, both Wink and partner, such as Product Management, Engineering, Business Development, Marketing, go-to-market, QA, etc.
- Drive to improve and automate engineering processes so that future releases get easier and easier.
- Provide strategic insights to develop and improve product features, business analytics and internal and external facing tools.
Minimum qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of hands-on experience in engineering project/program management, software engineering, or technical account management.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with a track record of handling multiple customers and streams of work.
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with engineers on embedded systems, cloud systems and mobile apps
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills, combined with a strong sense of ownership, and a proactive can-do attitude.
- Experience managing or leading technical teams.
