As a TA Engineer, you will act as an evangelist and mentor development teams by providing feedback for improvement, catalyzing quality and answering questions. You will build automation services and tools to ensure that our users continue to have a great experience using Spotify. You will collaborate on testing and improving quality in a dynamic, agile environment delivering top notch products. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you will do:


  • Educate developers, at all levels to write higher quality software
  • Identify quality weaknesses, suggest solutions and drive/initiate change
  • Contribute to our test frameworks and services
  • Maintain test results and dashboard visualizations of quality
  • Improve test automation tools used by our engineers across iOS, Android, OSX, and Windows application
  • Constantly seek opportunities to improve our quality and testing approach
  • Report bugs and follow them through the complete bug cycle
  • Build and cultivate cross-functional relationships with peers in engineering, product, and design

Who you are:

  • You know how to write readable and maintainable Java or C#
  • You are experienced with test frameworks for Android, iOS, OSX, Windows, or web applications
  • You care about building high quality software in an Agile environment
  • You have three years or more of experience in a Software Engineer in Test role
  • You are a mentor and a coach with great communication skills and a capacity to inspire and motivate
  • You are assertive about quality and enthusiastic about Agile practices and their benefits
  • You are able to view quality holistically and lead a team to write better quality software
  • You are continuously learning and challenging yourself
  • You embody quality principles and lead by example
  • You are a strong collaborator and contributor to any team
  • You are experienced in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • You are knowledgeable about test automation and testing frameworks
  • You have the ability to handle multiple high priority concurrent projects with a sense of urgency and detail
