Are you a talented UI developer with a knack for design systems and looking to make a real difference in people's lives?

Want to help us grow a new kind of healthcare marketplace focusing on the patient's experience and the doctor's independence?

Engineering at Sesame leverages great tech and strong UX to redefine the healthcare experience for millions of Americans who have been priced out of the traditional healthcare system. Whether they are uninsured or burdened by high-deductible insurance, the Sesame marketplace brings direct and affordable access to the healthcare people need.

We’re working with healthcare providers who share our vision for giving people a better way to get the care they need without the stress, frustrations, and financial challenges of the current healthcare system. Customers love the usability of our platform, which gets them high-quality care quickly, easily, and for a fair price. Our partners — counting Costco and DoorDash among others — value our dedication to great user experience and accessible services.

We have raised $75 million in capital from leading investors including GV, General Catalyst, and Industry Ventures, and we continue to invest in scaling our marketplace!

How you will fit into the team

You will work closely with designers and with other developers in the cross-functional product pods to aid in the ongoing evolution of design patterns in our frontend applications, serving both patients and doctors across the nation.

While your main expertise likely lies in effective styling and semantic markup, you should also be comfortable with a11y specs so that you can work with our digital accessibility partner to continuously improve our platforms.

You will be working both on new components and iteratively improving our existing ones, and are encouraged to dive in wherever you can to help us build the best healthcare platform possible.

Knowledge of, or experience with, design system maintenance and scaling is a big plus.
