Brian and his growing staff of writers and editors keep readers up to date on points, travel news, deals and help readers make best use of credit card points and miles. Owned by publicly traded BankRate, The Points Guy is looking for a Head of Social Media to help bring our active and rapidly growing social communities to the next level.

This hire is creative and data driven, crunching the data and developing new strategies to help grow our audience across all platforms. We're looking for someone with a commanding knowledge of our brand, a passion for travel, and an ability to strategize and act on data and trends.

About the Role:

  • Develop social strategies and social content calendar for all major platforms in collaboration with marketing and editorial team (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Snapchat, LinkedIn, and more)
  • Develop and execute strategic social partnerships with brand partners such as credit card, hotel and airline companies
  • Develop and execute an influencer strategy
  • Work directly with experiential marketing agency to develop social strategy in conjunction with all offline events and Brian Kelly personal appearances
  • Handle day-to-day management of all social channels
  • Define KPIs and set benchmarks for every social initiative
  • Select and oversee social listening program
  • Drive development of innovative social media campaigns
  • File weekly social-media report and lead weekly social media meeting
  • Manage interns and junior staffers who contribute to social media

About You:

  • 5+ years' experience of agency or client-side social strategy work
  • Interest in travel and loyalty
  • Expertise with Adobe Omniture and/or Google Analytics
  • Comfort with editing images in Photoshop and working with video
  • Expert knowledge of social platforms.
  • Strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback.
  • Experience posting videos on multiple platforms, especially Facebook
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
