The Tacombi Foundation is looking for a Program Manager to join our team!

The Tacombi Foundation is a registered non-profit organization with a 501(c)3 status on a mission to advance the Mexican community through food accessibility, education and employment training. The foundation acts as the philanthropic arm of Tacombi. 

We are looking for an individual who wants to support the advancement of the Mexican and Hispanic community by leading The Tacombi Foundation’s new Workforce Development Program. You will work in a purpose driven environment, implementing, overseeing and growing the program, ensuring that the students move through their training in a seamless and coordinated manner; from the recruitment of each cohort; facilitation of quality sessions as a teacher, to job placement initiatives and evaluations. This position is responsible for all operational aspects of the program. This role reports directly to the Executive Director of the Foundation and acts as a liaison between the program stakeholders, Tacombi taquerias and Tacombi’s corporate team when necessary.  

What you’ll do:

  • Program management: Responsible for program scheduling, including in class sessions, practical training at Tacombi taquerias and all other program activities. Conduct outreach and recruit program participants. Ensure that all students are prepared to succeed in class and able to comprehend lesson plans by creating extra materials based on student needs, language or otherwise. Be in constant communication with students via established channels to support their learning. Prepare onboarding materials and provide support during individual activities to ensure skills are being practiced and that all standards are met. Coordinate and facilitate approximately 8 hours per week of classroom sessions for students (when the program is rolling). Develop comprehensive training materials, including manuals, presentations, and multimedia resources, to support program objectives. Continuously update and refine curriculum based on feedback, industry trends, and changing needs.
  • Data Management & evaluation: Develop and implement mechanisms to assess program effectiveness, including pre- and post-training evaluations, skills assessments, and performance metrics. Analyze training data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations for program enhancements. Regularly report on program outcomes, including key performance indicators, to stakeholders and management. Collect relevant data from the application and intake process and ensure they are entered into the data management system correctly. Collect and report on daily student attendance.
  • Employer Engagement and Job Placement: Work in partnership with Tacombi’s recruitment team and other industry partners, to establish and grow relationships that will result in  increase of job opportunities available to students. Point of contact with employment partners. Respond to new industry partner inquiries to assess whether they would be appropriate to incorporate to the program. Keep track of students' employment paths for two years after graduation for data purposes. 
  • Community Building & outreach: Develop program’s protocols and systems to identify potential applicants to the program leveraging and growing the foundation’s network. Establish long-term partnerships and work with them to understand the community's job training and placement needs. 

You have:

  • 4-6 years experience in the non profit sector in program management roles or similar. 
  • Proven experience in program management, training, or workforce development, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
  • Community outreach abilities with a high level of respectful outreach tactics and ability to execute work through a diversity, equity, and inclusion lens.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite. Experience using Salesforce is a plus.
  • Decision-making abilities, making data-driven, mission oriented decisions.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly and switch gears at a moment’s notice. 
  • High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups, including community leaders, government officials, board members, donors, and program beneficiaries. 
  • Ability to operate independently with little guidance and a sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; fluently bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
