CNN buys Beme app

Beme, a social app created by YouTube personality Casey Neistat, was bought by CNN this week. The company was founded to allow users to share quick, short clips of video without edits, comparable to social video apps like Snapchat. Beme will operate as a standalone media sub-brand under CNN’s umbrella, and Neistat will serve as executive producer. [TechCrunch]

WeWork adds three floors to Midtown East location

This week, WeWork announced that it's expanding its Midtown East location from 60,000 square feet to 100,000 square feet. The company, which is currently valued at more than $10 billion currently occupies almost two million square feet in New York City. [Crain's New York]
