Job Description
The Underwriting Team is primarily responsible for “pricing the risk.” We are accountable for the complete and accurate underwriting of all assets we acquire at Avenue One. You will analyze potential investment properties for institutional clients and determine the relative risk/reward of the asset. Working alongside an experienced Underwriting team with 20+ years of experience, you will be trained to underwrite residential real estate, forming a foundation to execute dynamic SFR investment strategies. In the Underwriting Training Program, analysts will learn skills like rental comp analysis, property valuation, and renovation budget projection, as well as gain an understanding of macro/micro level SFR market drivers. Avenue One maintains a lean underwriting team enabled by technology and large data, motivating you to learn about every facet of the business. Understanding all parts of the asset’s life cycle will allow you to further your career at Avenue One and increase your knowledge of the SFR industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, discipline, or equivalent experience
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with persistent attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and analytical skills in a dynamic environment
- Passion for real estate and a strong desire to learn
Salary Range
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $76,500 - $99,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
