THE ROLE

As the Social Media & Brand Design coordinator you will play a key role in shaping our online presence and the way we  design and communicate the Mint House brand across all major guest experience touch points. This position entails reporting directly to the Marketing Manager and having a dotted line to the Director of Design, ensuring optimal support for brand design initiatives. Close collaboration with both teams is required to enhance the guest experience and refine internal design work streams. A strong technical graphic design knowledge is a must, but the ideal candidate will also take interest in the company’s overall creative strategy and the future of travel. By cultivating a knowledge of industry and cultural trends, and leveraging both creative and strategic instincts, you’ll support the Brand and Design Teams in refining and scaling our brand representation efforts.

AT MINT HOUSE YOU WILL

  • Own and manage our social media platforms (Instagram and Facebook) with a strong emphasis on graphics and content creation.
  • Maintain and update our content calendar for all social media profiles, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant platforms.
  • Monitor and engage with our social media audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging social media trends and platforms, and propose innovative ideas to enhance our social media presence to reach new audiences 
  • Support art direction across guest communications and brand representation touch points, both digital and physical (social, marketing materials, signage, and on-property brand initiatives).
  • Refine and maintain an up-to-date, streamlined library of marketing assets and working files that can be repurposed and utilized quickly. This library includes presentations, marketing templates, design libraries, photography, videos, illustrations, and mockups.
  • Assist with post-production tasks for photoshoots, including editing, resizing, and retouching photos as needed.
  • Assist in reviewing copy and content across guest-facing marketing materials to ensure each meets brand guidelines.
  • Assist with the development of design systems to be utilized by the marketing and brand teams; Internal facing: templates for presentations and marketing initiatives, Guest Facing: in-room collateral, environmental signage. Design systems should be scalable, reliable and able to be executed quickly without compromising the brand’s look and feel.
  • Work closely with the Director of Interior Design to craft brand representation strategies for each new property. This includes developing narrative guides, conceptual mood boards for the property’s artwork program, identifying artists and creatives for potential collaborations, and assisting with brand partnerships.
  • Develop environmental graphics, including signage and other visual elements within our properties, from concept to file handoff.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in graphic design, social media or marketing with a strong portfolio showcasing graphic design work
  • Strong technical graphic design knowledge
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • The ability to flex between precise, detail-oriented work and abstract creative thinking.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and online marketing concepts
  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking abilities with a keen eye for graphic design.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet deadlines independently.
  • Visual communications background is preferred.

Requirements:

  • Portfolio Submittal (graphics heavy)

Salary Range: $55,000 - $60,000
