At Red Antler, we build brands for companies that are changing how the world works. Our clients span a wide range of categories, representing some of the most exciting companies in the startup space and beyond. We are searching for a talented communications leader to help us tell our story and enhance our visibility through key business, design and technology press, social media, and events. 

What you’ll do:

• Shape the Red Antler story in the VC, startup/entrepreneur, CMO, and creative communities
• Secure top-tier media coverage that effectively highlights our business and clients
• Build and maintain productive relationships with key business, design and technology press and influencers
• Act as primary liaison between Red Antler and media, maintaining relationships and constantly developing strategic story angles and news
• Collaborate with internal team members to proactively identify compelling news angles and story ideas
• Work internally and externally to source and research the data to support pitches
• Lead brainstorms for story ideas with key leadership at Red Antler
• Create a strong thought leadership program for Red Antler’s three founders
• Prepare briefing materials and draft key messaging
• Develop and submit speaking proposals for key conferences, events, and awards
• Manage Red Antler’s content calendar and presence on all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin) in partnership with internal design team 

Role Requirements:

• 4 -6 years of corporate public relations experience at an agency or start-up environment
• Experience in executing and managing integrated PR programs
• Experience conceiving and pitching targeted stories to business, technology, and design media with a proven track record of media relations results
• Successful track record of securing feature placements
• Strong relationships with tech, design and business media outlets
• Deep understanding of startup, VC, and creative communities
• Amazing written, verbal, and nonverbal communications skills
• Quick judgment and an excellent understanding of the current state of mind of the press
• Knowledgeable, passionate storyteller who loves to create and define authentic messages for diverse audiences
• Entrepreneurial spirit and drive with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
