Summary of Job:

Sitting within 2U’s Course Services department, the Content Coordinator successfully manages multiple complex projects and collaborates with vendors and key stakeholders to develop high quality, engaging asynchronous content. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Content Development in 2U’s Brooklyn, NY or Lanham, MD office, the Content Development Coordinator will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and archiving asynchronous content and assisting with the training of new team members.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate course level projects with vendors to ensure copy editing, formatting, and accessibility review of asynchronous lecture content (30%)
  2. Perform QA on completed files to ensure accurate and professional rendering on device to be used in video production studio; (30%)
  3. Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to ensure the delivery of assets in a timely manner (30%)
  4. Utilize basic graphic design skills to help enhance content and update legacy programs and iterating courses (10%)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university;
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a professional media-production setting;
  • Professional or personal experience with Web content-development;
  • Experience handling and tracking digital assets in a collaborative work environment;
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Excellent communication skills in face-to-face, telephone, and email interactions;
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining a positive outlook and a collegial, professional demeanor.
