Position Summary: The Production Coordinator provides general office and process support to the Production Department in various areas including, but not limited to, coordination with managers and Human Resources on personnel-related matters including the interviewing and hiring process, on-boarding, project planning, other such duties.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to the Production department.
  • Work with Production Department heads to schedule, coordinate and track employment interviews for prospective freelance employees.
  • Assist Management in the recruitment process for the Production department.
  • Facilitate the onboarding process with new hires on their first day (e.g., shadow introductions, submission of I-9 documentation to HR, coordinate ID badge pick up from Facilities, etc.)
  • Assist in the tracking and other related administrative tasks associated with observation/training for entry level employees throughout the Production department.
  • Help create and manage the credit lists used for end of year programming and Emmy submissions
  • Oversee the expense report system for Production department including approval process and training of new staff as needed.
  • Book conference rooms and conference calls, order supplies and take care of shipping needs.
  • Monitor and code bills and expenses for Production Department as needed.
  • Other such duties as required.

 Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate has most of if not all of the following requirements:

  • 2+ years of progressively responsible administrative support experience including working with senior management.
  • Recruiting experience preferred
  • TV industry experience a plus.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Must be highly organized with an ability to multitask.
  • Exceptional time management skills are a must.
  • Must have the ability to protect and maintain highly confidential information.
  • Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and proactively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate the tact, diplomacy, decisiveness, and superior people skills required in the pressurized environment of live television.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to ten pounds.
  • Possess visual acuity sufficient to perform required tasks.
  • Possess manual dexterity sufficient to perform required tasks.
  • Possess a level of hearing sufficient for effective interaction with stakeholders by various means, including in-person, via phone, etc.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
