The Role

BuzzFeed News and AM to DM are looking for an eager and energetic photo assistant to help with our original photography efforts. Every day you’ll work with our team to produce beautiful portraits of celebrity talent that are coming to be on our live morning show and to make sure that our images are widely seen across the internet.

This role will run through December 2019 with the possibility of extension.

You Will

Reporting to the News Photo Director, responsibilities will include assisting with producing shoots, including studio work, collaborating with photographers and the photo director on final selects, post-processing images, and filing to various departments. 

The photo assistant will also regularly update social media accounts and help the photo desk with various projects.

You Have

Our ideal candidate is highly organized, has great people skills, great social media skills and a willingness to learn, with a working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Capture One and Nikon products. An interest in how visuals can make or break a story and an ability to work in a fast paced environment is a must.
