About the role

We are looking for a Social Media Associate to join our social team where they will assist and transpose real-time sports statistics and milestones into deliverable brand content across multiple social media channels.

What you’ll do

  • Identify and curate social media content that aligns with FanDuel’s social media goals
  • Work closely with Social Media Manager and Managing Editor to update editorial calendars and ensure all assets/materials are timely and up to date
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, proofreading copy and properly executing content across all social channels, including cross-channel contests and giveaways
  • Report on the growth of FanDuel’s social media channels with metrics
  • Work closely with PR, Customer Support, Promotions, Partnerships, and Live Events team to assess and implement varying departmental social needs

Who we’re looking for

  • 2+ years of previous editorial or social media experience in sports news (working in social media, sports, design or journalism)
  • Experience working with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
  • Strong Proficiency in Graphic Design, Animation, Video Editing; Fluency in Photoshop (Please include link to portfolio or website)
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays if necessary, as well as being on call for urgent PR matters’
  • Strong grammar skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of internet sports culture (including passion for fantasy sports)
  • Ability to create engaging social media copy with minimal guidance and multitask in real time
