Working alongside our Senior Manager of Data Analysis, the Data Intern will be charged with helping our Product Team establish their data structure from the ground up. S/he will get real-world experience with startup analytics and other projects supporting all business lines while assisting Knotel in learning more about how their customers use their product and how they can improve and optimize their offerings. Knotel’s team embraces curiosity, integrity, hospitality and tenacious problem-solving, and the Data Intern will contribute to this culture while pushing us to innovate and do our best work.
What You’ll Do
- Work with json data from MongoDB
- Consolidate distinct data silos into integrated databases; designing schema
- Construct complex queries to transform data into actionable information
- Research, discuss, and implement solutions to difficult data questions

You’re excited about applying technical knowledge to a platform that has a real-world impact on empowering entrepreneurs and positively transforming the world of work, and you know how to stay grounded in a big-picture vision as you execute your work. You’re good-natured and ready to roll in a dynamic, exciting environment. You also have the following:
- Computer science fundamentals
- Scripting language (e.g. Python)
- Familiarity with NoSQL/unstructured databases
- Familiarity with relational databases
- Experience/interest with cloud services (like AWS)
