About You
Who are you? That's a great question. You’re passionate about clinical research, and see it as a crucial tool in improving health and health care. You are a highly-organized self starter with familiarity with every step of the clinical research process, from evaluating experimental and quasi-experimental designs, IRB protocol and applications, data collection, data cleaning, statistical analysis and modeling, and disseminating results. You are a problem solver. You are not afraid of thinking outside of the box.You have experience in an applied health care research setting and are able to adapt to a fast-paced, startup environment and can apply your research skills to support non-academic, internal research needs. You’re flexible, creative, and solutions-oriented. You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, and can break down complex methods and findings into an accessible narrative for a wide range of audiences.
Job responsibilities:
- Review and synthesize medical literature/create annotated bibliographies on various health conditions, treatments, and medical devices
- Assist in managing and oversight of treatment efficacy and substantiation research conducted at external clinical research organizations
- Help determine clinical research priorities & the plan, design & execution of research projects
- Draft and submit IRB protocols and applications
- Perform database queries and analyze large EMR datasets with appropriate statical methods
- Ensure that programs of investigation meet specified objectives
- Manage relationships with Ro’s medical advisory board as it pertains to research
- Perform other duties as assigned
Capabilities:

- Strong working knowledge of applied statistics
- Strong working knowledge of clinical outcome measures and medical terminology
Experience + Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Clinical Research, Life Sciences, Epidemiology, or similar
- 3+ years experience conducting clinical outcomes research for a health care entity
- Track record of high-impact publications
- Experience conducting literature reviews
- Familiarity with statistical software (R strongly preferred)
Bonus Points:
- ACRP/SOCRA certification or other Clinical Research Certification a plus
- Telemedicine experience a plus
- SQL familiarity a plus
