Job Mission:

The mission of the Data Analyst role is to enable engineers, product managers, operations teams and clients to understand the data and process analytics that power andros. Cross functional communication and collaboration across teams will be a critical part of this role in order to effectively organize data requests in order to produce actionable insights.

The outcomes we’re looking for:

• Have clear visibility into our data processes and data analytics from stakeholders across all departments 
• Set reliable timelines for new reports and features for stakeholders across the business through well organized agile processes 
• Data stewardship of multiple datasets and database reports
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization with an emphasis on communication 
• Partner with other development, and operational teams to help define key  KPIs and metrics to provide better visibility into our processes
• Create reporting/dashboards and visualizations to be leveraged by other departments using tableau, sql, neptune notebooks, scripts and exports. 
• Develop methodologies to conduct data analyses
• Write scripts to automate operational tasks
• Present insights/reports based on data and reporting to stakeholders across the organization

Competencies Required:

• Cross-team collaboration: Collaborate across teams including Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Client Success to provide reporting and/or gather information required for analysis
• Communication: Comfortable explaining technical problems both in-person and in writing. 
• Intellectual curiosity: A desire to explore how non data-oriented folks digest data and how to make that process more meaningful
• Analytical - Able to structure and process qualitative and quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it. Exhibits a probing mind and achieves penetrating insights.
• Self-starter: Much of the work in this role will be self-driven and both reactive (answering questions from various stakeholders) and proactive (coming up with new hypotheses to test) in nature.

Desired Qualifications:

• 1+ years experience with R or Python
• 2+ years experience with SQL:  Have some experience and good understanding of aggregate functions, group by, CASE statements, window functions, subqueries
• 2+ years experience using Tableau: creating dashboards with data from various sources
• Degree in an analytical subject (Economics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, etc.)
• Basic to Intermediate understanding of Statistics (standard deviation, confidence intervals, sampling, Chi-sq tests, hypothesis tests, ANOVA, etc.) and/or desire to learn
• Previous experience with Regex
