Our mission at Pulse Analytics is to help decision-makers in oncology and other specialty therapeutic areas identify and reduce access barriers across the healthcare industry and ultimately ensure patients have access to the treatments they need. Our web-based decision support application connects healthcare organizations and key influencers to support our client’s customer engagement strategies through quality data insights. We are currently growing and are looking to bring on talented and driven individuals to help build the future of B2B healthcare data analytics products.

Responsibilities:

The role is for someone who’s excited about architecting data infrastructure and building out data platforms from the ground up. As a data engineer, you’ll be working with the team to drive several key data delivery initiatives.

In this role you’ll:

  • Build efficient data pipelines to move data across various data sources
  • Process, clean and verify the integrity of data used for analysis
  • Evangelize the work product of the data science and engineering function within the company
  • Partner with leadership, engineers, and product managers to understand data needs
  • Partner with Business Analysts to identify opportunities for automated data acquisition and delivering high-quality data that drive actionable insights

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience with data ingestion via web scraping/crawling (e.g. Selenium, BeautifulSoup)
  • Knowledge of data management fundamentals and data storage principles
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Proficiency in Python or Scala

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience with the AWS Ecosystem (e.g. AWS S3, AWS Athena, AWS Glue)
  • Familiarity with Big Data Technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Hive, Spark)
  • Familiarity of Distributed Systems concepts
