Data Scientist - Analytics
As a Data Scientist at ClassPass, you’ll have the opportunity to work on high-impact, growth-oriented projects. This role will provide exposure to how analytics-driven, strategic, decision making processes can drive a company’s growth.
This role will require the ability to take complex questions and develop quantitative frameworks for analysis using a combination of data science, statistics, and strategic thinking. Effectively communicating findings / recommendations are a must have for success in this role. You should expect to interact directly with ClassPass leads to help inform your insights, and will need to coordinate cross-functionally across all parts of ClassPass to execute initiatives that will help us become the next great company.
Responsibilities:
Develop algorithms that will help automate / optimize internal business functions (Marketing, CX, User Research)
Conduct statistical analysis on large data sets to extract valuable insights and inform strategic decision making
Produce dashboards / outputs that democratize access to the data and insights that are developed through research and analysis
Collaborate cross-functionally on experimentation that will help the company maintain its fast-pace of innovation as a marketplace business
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g. Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.)
2+ years in an analytical role
Comfortable using SQL
Intermediate / advanced skills with Python or R
Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues & detailed analysis into simple, structured frameworks with concrete action plans
Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving business landscape
Nice to Haves:
Experience with A/B experimentation a plus
Familiarity with XGBoost decision trees
Understanding of Markov Chain Models and their application in Marketing Attribution
