An Insider's view of Ro

What are some social events your company does?

We felt passionately about launching the Rockathon in a year when our team has gone completely remote. Ro has continued to hire aggressively throughout this year, so the Rockathon created a place for team members to bond. These types of events are so important to encouraging trust and communication across our teams well beyond the initial program.

Jillian Stein

Product Manager

What does your typical day look like?

My day involves a lot of interactions with different teams to communicate and align on the ‘why’ behind the decisions we make as well as leading the work of the product design team — it’s full of constant decision making and communication throughout the day.

Pacssu Park

VP of Product Design

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

One of the biggest perks about being in a start-up is that you get to wear a lot of different hats and try a lot of different parts of the business that you normally don't get to put your hands on. Operations was a sticking point for me and as my responsibility grew, I moved from Pharmacy to work on the more supply chain aspects of Ro's business.

Collin Lafeyette

Senior Director of Operations

What is your vision for the company?

Ultimately, we aspire to be your first call — to either handle everything you need from beginning to end or to guide you throughout your journey when you’re better served by others. We see a world in which patients are in complete control of their care. A world in which physicians, nurses, and pharmacists are empowered, not replaced by technology.

SRZ

Founders

What are some things you learned at the company?

During my fellowship with Ro, I learned when to seek help from others. At first, I spent a lot of time trying to unblock myself before asking for help. But at Ro I was able to be comfortable and provide the right context when getting help from someone, and in general it made me feel like a better teammate and engineer.
