Director of Product Analytics at Policygenius
About the role...
Can you build a world-class product analytics function whose work directly influences the trajectory of a business every day? Are you passionate about finding insights from data, turning insights into action, and instilling others with the same passion? In the Director, Product Analytics role, you will lead a team solving challenging business problems with data to support day-to-day decisions. You will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders, including our founders, heads of product, engineering and design. This role reports to the Head of Analytics.
In this role, you will…
- Build a sophisticated product analytics function that can tackle the next stage of challenges facing Policygenius
- Act as manager and individual contributor to develop new analytical frameworks, techniques and reporting that deliver user insights, guide product decisions and measure ongoing performance
- Act as a trusted advisor and partner to leaders throughout Policygenius to guide product decisions
- Adapt existing data tools and sources (and identify new ones) to best serve product analytics team and stakeholder needs
- Experiment with an open-minded team that is always exploring new methods
We’d love to hear from you if…
- You have 2+ years of experience in product analytics, creating analysis, including dashboards, models, ad hoc analysis and data-oriented presentations
- You have 3+ years managing product analytics teams, with bonus points if you have built them from scratch
- You have deep experience in product analytics and research techniques, including funnel metrics/conversion rate optimization, heatmaps, experimental design/analysis, consumer survey design
- You have advanced experience with product analytics and research tools including SQL, R/Python, Google Analytics, Mouseflow, Amplitude or Interana
- You have exceptional business intuition and conceptual thinking, with the ability to readily map business processes to the appropriate metrics and suggest hypothesis-driven analysis that efficiently deliver insights
- You have a proven track record of mentoring and developing the careers of analysts and/or data scientists
- You have strong communication skills and the ability to comfortably articulate your thoughts and decisions
- You have the ability to thrive in a startup environment
