Paperless Post is seeking a Growth Data Associate with an innate curiosity about user behavior to derive actionable insights from complex data sets, strongly communicate findings, and support the growth of our business. You should have a proven track record of analyzing and deriving insights from data and a strong quantitative mindset that allows you to distill complex concepts into clear and accessible learnings and recommendations. You will be energized by the prospect of using the skills developed in your career to date to be an active contributor to growth for our business.

What you’ll do here

As part of the Growth team (reporting to the VP Strategy & Consumer Insights under the Chief Growth Officer), you will work hand in hand with our Data team to:

  • Derive deep insights into our users, and the ways they interact with our products
  • Synthesize and present findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Create data and visualization solutions that are easy for stakeholders to interpret.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the KPIs that drive our business and how to improve performance
  • Identify opportunities to improve how we measure, track, and communicate about our data
  • Train our stakeholders on how to use our BI Tools.
  • Participate in an Agile development cycle with the Data team.

What you bring to the table

  • 2+ years experience at a top tier management consulting firm, with experience working with extensive datasets and statistical analysis.
  • Strong command of SQL
  • Relevant programming language expertise such as Python or strong willingness to learn.
  • Experience building reports in a BI tool, ideally Looker.
  • Ability to present complex information in an easy-to-understand and digestible manner.
  • Obsessed with impact.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with team members who are highly technical as well as those with limited or no data/statistical training.
  • Comfort with the ambiguity that sometimes comes with a fast-paced start-up atmosphere.
  • Plusses:
    • Familiarity with event streaming, Google Analytics and database concepts.
    • Undergraduate or graduate degree in Statistics, Math, Economics, Operations Research or related field.
