THE ROLE

The Head of Technology and Analytics will be responsible for owning the design, development and implementation of advanced technological solutions to solve business challenges. The successful candidate will be a seasoned tech veteran with project management experience in working with managed service providers and OEMS, hiring, managing and/or outsourcing developers or engineers, experience in managing and manipulating large data sets for use, business intelligence, machine learning and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will be able to envision and implement data science technologies, frameworks and analysis that will influence strategic decisions throughout the Gotham Greens organization. The manager will be tasked to implement all the necessary information technology infrastructure, security, and business intelligence platforms, as well as helping create the hiring plan to buildout the technology team to help support the growth of Gotham Greens.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assume ownership of the technology infrastructure strategy and vision for the entire organization
  • Lead the design and execution of advanced technology utilization to help support and mature the business
  • Responsible for assessing, understanding and facilitating the delivery of technology solutions and services to meet and advance the business
  • Lead mission critical, high impact programs & projects involving the selection, implementation and ongoing improvement of critical enterprise technological systems.
  • Maintain awareness of the rapidly changing technology environment and how new technologies can positively impact our company.
  • Provide thought leadership & innovation across the organization.
  • Lead the creation of business processes for how our data flows into and out of our technology solutions
  • Create and Maintain Centralized Database with Azure Webhosted Database
  • Ensure proper utilization and data integrity within our various current systems- including but not limited to the ERP, HRIS and CRM
  • Research and hire a managed services solution provider that can support across all facilities and Corporate Headquarters.
  • Improve and implement SOPs for utilizing technology across company.
  • Enhance existing KPI reports with Business Intelligence Dashboards that integrates our various data streams and helps us drive data-driven decisions.
  • Create hiring plan to build out the technology team over time as the company grows
  • Foster cross-functional partnerships to identify, design and develop technology-driven solutions for their unique challenges

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred but not required
  • 5-7+ years of work in technology- specifically including experience architecture and design of technology integration
  • Proven track record and experience of leading and implementing large scale technology solutions and programs required
  • Strong change management skills with planning, forecasting and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work with multiple levels of stakeholders utilizing creative and consensus building decision making
  • Ability take complex, ambiguous problems, break them down into smaller parts and problem solve to come up with a whole, integrated and strategic solution
  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex data and develop innovative solutions with an end-to-end mindset
  • Ability to structure a project from idea to experimentation to prototype to implementation

Technical Requirements:

  • Experience with Azure, AWS or other cloud services (e.g. Google Cloud, S3, Redshift, EC2, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications, Microsoft Power BI, PowerApps are preferred, but not required
  • Experience in using Predictive Modeling, (supervised & unsupervised) Machine Learning, for optimization
  • Advanced knowledge of data management tools such as SQL(RDBMS), NoSQL, Hadoop and/or other big data technologies
  • Advanced skills in at least one of the programming languages such as R, Python, Java, C or C++
  • Experience with machine learning related open source libraries including, but not limited to: Hadoop, Spark, SciKit-Learn, TensorFlow, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Blockchain
