A Better opportunity:

Better is seeking a Digital Forensics Analyst to triage data of anomalous events collected by User Activity Monitoring (UAM) tools, and other data analytics tools and sources to decipher underlying trends or uncover anomalies, discern obscure patterns, and develop profiles. Analysts elevate events of concern and produce proactive investigative leads that document issues on computer misuse, and various violations of policies. You will conduct forensic examinations of digital evidence and ensure that forensic community accepted principles and practices are consistently applied in retrieving, recovering, preserving, and analyzing digital evidence. The Digital Forensics Analyst will also ensures chain of custody and control procedures, documents procedures and findings in a manner suitable for courtroom presentation and prepares comprehensive written notes and reports. You will also perform research and analysis of open-source information. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Experience writing technical reports, and detailing results of analysis
  • Experience with EnCase, FTK, Axiom, and other forensic tools
  • In-depth experience with all facets of digital forensics and incident response
  • Expert knowledge of Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems
  • Solid experience applying all facets of DFIR to on-prem and cloud environments
  • Demonstrate threat hunting experience with SIEM, UAM, UBA, and EDR solutions
  • Experience testifying in court, establishing and maintaining chain of custody and legal hold investigations as well as an understanding of confidentiality

About You:

  • Bachelors or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Forensic Science or related fields
  • Knowledge, understanding, and ability to apply technical security standards and tools
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
