Brand Designer
The Role
Cedar is improving the healthcare financial experience! Our technology improves the overall experience of patient billing and engagement, enabling providers to thrive in a constantly evolving environment while helping patients understand the cost of their care.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a company that wants to transform U.S. healthcare. As a Brand Designer on the Marketing Team, you will have the unique opportunity to define the organization’s visual and verbal expression in relation to our maturing ecosystem. You have the chops and desire to roll up your sleeves and bring amazing designs to life for our core audience. We are not a typical marketing department within a health-tech company. We seek to lift design away from standard corporate messaging and communicate visually to our customers.

Responsibilities
- Captivate our B2B audience with design that elevates visual appearance and ensures both brand continuity and consistency
- Work within our brand guidelines to create layouts that promote Cedar style and voice through all visual touch points (both internal and external facing)
- Help develop designs for multi-platform, multi-channel digital campaigns that meet business objectives and support both brand marketing strategy and sales
- Design for both in person and virtual events with external audiences, including marketing materials such presentations, signage, and other visual collateral
- Manage multiple project deadlines across multiple programs
- Communicate your design decisions clearly and effectively to the team, while managing expectations
- Collaborate with external contractors and partners as needed
- Maintain awareness of industry standard methodologies and trends in content and marketing
Qualifications
- Are passionate about Cedar’s mission and values
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual design, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on design experience, ideally in a creative agency or in-house design for a company. Prior experience working in a fast paced startup (plus). Prior experience working with a b2b audience and/or healthcare a plus.
- An outstanding portfolio that demonstrates strong typography, visual design, and experience in both digital and non-digital communications
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with mastery of Google Slides. Demonstrated ability to coach more novice users of these tools to enhance internal capabilities is a plus.
- Experience with motion design including animation and video and related software
- Experience collaborating with a team in a rapid growth environment
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including a very strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
- Comfortable working cross-functionally to ensure alignment and collaborative vision
- A sense of humor
- Bonus: Illustration skills
