The Role

Sitting within BuzzFeed’s newly created Commerce division, this position will be responsible for overseeing and managing creative and production projects.

You are resourceful, detail-oriented and enjoy moving at a fast pace . You should be comfortable working with limited direction and quickly solving complex problems.

The Team

This job is based in BuzzFeed’s Commerce division, located in NYC’s Gramercy neighborhood and will report to the Head of Brand Management and Product Development Operations.

You Will

• Responsible for day-to-day management and coordination of creative and production activities required by all Commerce business areas including marketing campaigns, brand development, events, photoshoots and other special projects.

• Collaborate with team leads, marketing and designers to brief projects, define milestones, assign resources and assist in meeting project goals, budgets and deadlines.

• Manage a creative production calendar and track deliverables to maintain project deadlines and provide transparency across cross-functional team leads. Proactively identify risks, prioritize them and create plans to resolve promptly.

• Define and manage the creative approval process through all development phases: brief, concept, copy creation, legal review & clearances, asset creation, layout, proofing, and sample review.

• Assist in the recruiting of creative team members to support new business initiatives and creative resource needs.

• Lead communication with internal and external partners to ensure that project deliverables and timelines are fully understood.

• Coordinate and lead meetings to maintain active communication on project status, risks and deliverables.

• Identify and develop process, tools and other efficiencies to improve creative production and output. Set best practice for workflow from project kick-off through execution and quality review.

You Have

• 7+ years in project management role within an agency or in-house creative team

• Collaborative team player

• Strong people management skills

• Shows eye for great design and focus on brand integrity

• Design background preferred

• Consumer goods and/or print production experience a plus
