Defiant Studios was founded in New York City in 2016 by industry veterans with many decades of experience in designing, building and producing AAA games for a global audience. We strive to create incredible gameplay experiences while working with curious and passionate people. Our focus is to explore and expand the boundaries of cooperative multiplayer games through compelling storytelling woven into unique and beautiful worlds. Defiant is currently developing multiple unannounced projects including a groundbreaking original AAA IP for next generation platforms.

As an Environment Artist you will work in collaboration with level designers to create man-made structures supporting missions, levels, and beautiful worlds. We expect you to take your assets all the way from conceptual mockups to modeling and texturing to final placement in the environment. You will also be responsible for the final functionality of your assets, such as setup of destruction and environment animations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience with level based games and FPS
• At least three year's experience working on at least one published AAA title
• Excellent modelling and texturing skills
• Maya and Photoshop are required
• Strong documented artistic skills
• A great sense of technical excellence, functionality and problem-solving
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Passion for playing and making games
• Ability to communicate an artistic vision
• Strong understanding of level design and game mechanics
• A Portfolio is required demonstrating all aspects of your skills
