We're going after the archaic industry of investment management, and design is critical to that transformation. We're looking for someone who is excited to own that effort.
You will be the first leader of our Design function. In this role you will direct all critical design projects, craft a design culture, and partner closely with the executive team to refine our vision for the product. How do you make the complex feel simple? How do you win and keep users' trust? As you immerse yourself in the user journey, you'll help us navigate the research and collaboration required to answer these questions (and many more) as a part of all new feature development.
What you will do:
- Partner closely with engineering, product, and business teams to define problems & goals, research requirements, map user flows, prototype, and launch new products
- Define strategy, advocate for user needs, and think through design systems, not just screens
- Design and test multiple ideas swiftly (sometimes with customers) to validate product direction
- As we scale, hire and develop a team of exceptional product designers
- Set the standard for Design @ Vise, from culture, to process, to quality
What you will bring:
- 6+ years of Product Design experience with a track record of launching amazing products
- 3+ years leading a high-performing and happy team
- Experience with design software such as: Sketch, Figma, Adobe creative suite
- Solid UX thinking and visual design skills
- Experience developing wireframes and prototypes
- A deep appreciation of feedback
- A hunger to change investment management for the better
