About the Role
The Lead Product Designer role defines the user experience and the UI layer of our flagship product. The position works effectively with cross-functional teams, partnering with product management and engineering to conceptualize, build, and distribute highly usable products that customers love to use. Under our Head of Design's direction, this role owns the design process – balancing short-term design needs with a vision toward the future as well as mentoring and fostering a world-class team of junior peers.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve the overall user experience on our web and mobile app products.
- Build new meaningful features in helping our member's financial wellness.
- Ensure consistency across products, define design patterns and contribute to the current style guide as our products grow.
- Translate product requirements and research into design deliverables: User flows, sketches, wireframes, mockups, specs, etc., that lead to intuitive user experiences.
- Take a user-centered design approach to rapidly test and iterate your designs.
- Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to stakeholders.
- Take charge of our Design System development and lifecycle
- Lead User Research and related fields
About You
- 5-8 years of experience designing mobile and web products
- Multiple successful product launches that drove meaningful impact to the business
- Ability to rapidly ideate and produce multiple UX/UI concepts
- Ability to translate qualitative & quantitative data into designs
- A coherent understanding of web and mobile capabilities
- A passionate champion for the user with a demonstrated ability to mesh business considerations with design goals
- Experience working in continuous delivery environments where the pace is fast
- Deep understanding of best practices and contemporary design patterns
- A willingness to fail and learn
