About the Role:
Resident is looking for a Marketing Designer to create breakthrough work to support the company’s house of brands across consumer touchpoints including digital advertising, packaging, POS and collateral as well as logo design and brand guideline development. Key responsibilities include - but are not limited to - creative development across multiple channels and business units while satisfying immediate business objectives and needs.
The ideal candidate will be excited by the opportunity to build a best in class brand experience for consumers in order to foster real, authentic human connections. They will be passionate about creating, building and evolving a portfolio of DTC brands in order to help the organization reach its ambitious growth goals. They will also be motivated to ensure flawless execution and creative differentiation across every consumer touchpoint for each brand within the portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Senior Designer on all design projects, as described by creative/marketing briefs
- Plays an active role in contributing conceptual ideas in brainstorms or offline creative development
- Contributes to the final development and production of creative assets and ensures accuracy, attention to details and meets or exceeds the overall design objectives
- Support the Senior Designer in the development of brand guidelines for new products/brands
- Will ensure that brand guidelines are applied to all creative assets
- Works to improve the team’s overall performance and embraces a collaborative approach
- Provides visible support for leadership and helps build a unified team mindset
- Embodies a performance-driven mindset
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience as a graphic or marketing designer with portfolio of work that illustrates experience working across consumer touchpoints (as per above) and the ability to drive business results
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university (preferably in creative, design or advertising)
- Excellent design skills and shows a clear command of: Layouts, hierarchy, type design, illustration and branding. Has elevated taste and personal aesthetic.
- Has excelled in a digital/social-first creative environment in current/past positions.
- Ability to communicate concepts and ideas to others through written, drawn and verbal means
- Must have industry specific knowledge including familiarity with direct to consumer brands
- Positive attitude and scrappy mindset with the ability to work on limited and larger scale projects/productions; hands-on and data driven mentality
- Great collaborator across the organization including internal studio team and copywriters
- Passionate about building brands and developing breakthrough creative
- High proficiency in Sketch/FIGMA, Adobe Creative Suite and InVision; bonus points for animation and working knowledge of HTML & CSS
