The Role 

As a Product Designer on the Partnerships team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects — past projects this team has worked on include  launching new experiences on BuzzFeed like Bring Me , Tasty shoppable recipes, Quiz ad formats, and Eko build-your-own recipes. 

The partnerships team works alongside our account (advertising, sales & commerce) teams when a client deal requires a tech execution. As a design lead on this team, you’ll partner with a Product Specialist and Engineering Lead to define, manage, and execute these partnerships for BuzzFeed and our clients.

The team is made up of multidisciplinary designers, who are individually responsible for all aspects of design: user research, UX design, visual design, prototyping and front-end implementation. Additionally, our designers are key collaborators when it comes to cross-disciplinary activities such as product discovery and A/B experiment definition, design and analysis. You Will 

• Execute all aspects of design in a cross-functional team, including: user research, UX design, visual design, copywriting, and prototyping
• Foster a collaborative, cross-disciplinary design process
• Contribute to strategic decisions about your team’s project plans and timelines in collaboration with other team leads and account teams
• Solicit direct and impactful feedback from your manager, stakeholders, other designers, clients, and cross-discipline team; provide direct and impactful feedback to other designers on the team
• Present design work to partners and clients of BuzzFeed in collaboration with other team leads

You Have

• Experience designing products and features for web and apps 
• Experience balancing a thoughtful design process with tight deadlines
• Experience working through ambiguous requests to define projects and features
• Experience collaborating with people across multiple tech and business disciplines 
• Enjoy working across all aspects of design, leading a project from start to finish
• In addition to UX skills, you have strong visual skills and understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
• Comfortable working with clients
