Who we are

At Rah Rah, our mission is to simplify student life in Higher Education. We believe that every student deserves a personalized campus experience, and that every student affairs professional should be able to focus on helping students succeed without being limited by technology. 

We are building a enterprise-grade SaaS platform (B2B2C) for student affairs professionals and students at Higher Ed institutions. Our first-of-its-kind Student Life System will bring student affairs technology into the twenty-first century by creating a unified software platform that connects students, faculty, and administrators all in one place for student life activities. 

We are believers in the philosophy of user-centered design. Rah Rah has implemented a Design Partner Program, where students and admins from our university partners share deep insights into their real-life issues. Designers at Rah Rah will have the opportunity to collect data from a wide variety of user groups, identify opportunities, and work closely with stakeholders on design iteration. 

What We’re Looking For

As a small team, we’re searching for someone mission-driven to help strengthen the foundation of our product. The initial focus will be on building a fluid student mobile experience that is closely connected to the admin dashboard. We put a premium on helping our users automate workflows, consolidate fragmented data, and surface critical insights through data visualization. We want to find someone truly looking to push the envelope and bring the state of the art innovation to the Higher Education space. 

Who you are

• You have 3+ years experience designing at consumer-focused product companies, SaaS or B2B platforms, or for agencies with clients in those areas. 

• You are curious, and comfortable exploring uncharted territories. 

• You have the right balance of intuition and data-focused design mentality. 

• You can simultaneously see the big picture and pay attention to detail.

• You're able to communicate the reasons behind your design decisions to a cross-functional team. You want to help the company succeed more than making a nice sketch file.

• You're a team player and thrive on collaboration. 

What you’ll do

• Partner with the Product and Growth teams to define scope, goals, and the strategy to achieve those goals. 

• Approach problems critically and holistically, and come up with a breadth of ideas on how we might solve them.

• Build prototypes that range in fidelity depending on the question being answered. 

• Test prototypes with users, and iterate quickly based on feedback.

• Be autonomous and accountable. You’ll take ownership of your initiatives end to end, and you take responsibility for every last detail. 

• Work closely with a small team trying to move quickly to figure out what works together based on feedback

• Contribute to our values and culture that will help us grow.
