We are looking for a Senior Brand Motion Designer to join the Brand & Creative team at Stash. This position will report to our Design Director, and will work alongside graphic designers and art directors to bring designs to life. In addition to motion skills, the ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of traditional design principles (composition, color, typography, etc.) [that acts as a solid foundation] for animation.

The Senior Brand Motion Designer will imagine new, compelling ways to tell our desired messages across various channels and platforms, including: social, web, editorial and app content, digital/print advertising, out-of-home, and more. Beyond the day-to-day projects, there is ample opportunity to have a major role in developing Stash’s visual identity. As part of a new and growing team within Stash, we are also looking for someone to help establish our brand motion bible, with the creative thinking abilities to challenge the status quo. It’s a pivotal time for the company and this person should be excited about what’s possible.

Who you are:

  • 4-6 years of digital design and motion experience at an agency, in-house, or start-up environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design/motion graphics, or equivalent
  • Passionate about design, animation, and branding
  • Outstanding foundation in the craft of design, with a solid understanding of digital tools and trends
  • Expertise in the relevant software (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Figma, etc.)
  • Highly efficient, communicative, and organized
  • Self-motivated and proactive, eager to take on new challenges and grow
  • Possesses excellent attention to detail, and able to take feedback and revisions with humility to put forth the best quality work
  • Excellent with time-management, comfortable working on multiple streams of work simultaneously
  • Strategic problem-solving skills, able to address business objectives intelligently and creatively

What you'll do:

  • Help define and drive visual/motion consistency for the Stash brand
  • Concept, design, and animate engaging content and campaigns, working closely with the Brand Design and Video teams
  • Work both independently and collaboratively to bring static designs, storyboards, UIs to life with elegant expressions of motion
  • Translate strategic and creative directions into crisp executions for various marketing and advertising channels
  • Animate and output visual designs as multiple sized assets across different media formats 
  • Be the team expert on all brand animation post-production, Domain expert across all video Post Production techniques including editing, color grading & sound* Be resourceful in creating assets through stock library, custom photo shoots, and UGC content
  • Maintain high standards of design and visual polish while working within the brand guidelines
  • Push the Stash brand forward, helping to evolve the brand’s identity and design systems

Gold stars:

  • 3D skills (Cinema 4D) a plus
  • Illustration skills a plus
