Ergatta is hiring a Product Designer to join our rapidly growing team!

As a product designer at Ergatta, you will play an integral role in helping to conceptualize, design, and test key features in our flagship, “game-based fitness” experience. This is a highly-collaborative, highly-impactful role in which you'll work with other designers, product managers, researchers, and developers to create designs for both an integrated tablet and mobile app experience that instill and reinforce healthy behaviors and discipline towards fitness. 

We are at the forefront of an industry that is as green field as it gets, and with that comes an entirely unique and exciting design problem space and ecosystem. Every new product or feature we roll out has an opportunity to shape otherwise uncharted territory, and everyone here possesses a genuine hunger to learn about what does or doesn’t work, and most importantly, why?

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4-8 years experience
• End-to-end experience in designing (from scratch or innovating on existing) key features of a product
• A generalist's skillset and mindset in product design that allows you think holistically about your work
• Extensive IXD experience (information architecture, site mapping, wireframing)
• Interface design/visual design skills and a hunger for pixel perfection
• Experience building, working within, or expanding design systems
• Prototype design experience with an eye towards validating concepts
• Deep understanding and curiosity for what makes a design succeed or fail / hunger to learn
• Strong skills with Illustrator, XD, Figma, pen and paper
• Strong collaborative skills and a genuine desire to work with others to find the best idea
• Passion for and experience in cross-functional work with other designers, engineers, and product managers
• Strong communication skills - can articulate the reasoning behind design decisions, justify them, document things well, and just generally play well with others
• Willingness and desire to test and prove ideas
• Appetite for taking risks in design and being ok with failure!
• Someone who embraces and thrives in ambiguity, but knows how to make hard decisions in order to move forward
• High EQ

• A passion for fitness
• Startup experience
• An interest in behavioral science as applied to what motivates people and helps create healthy habits
• Motion design skills (After Effects)
• 3D design skills (Blender, Cinema4D, Maya, 3DStudioMax)
• Game design experience
