Is This Role Right for Me?

As a Senior Product Designer at Fundera, you contribute to the product design lifecycle from ideation through research, testing, designing, shipping, and QA. As a part of the design team, you will be creating best-in-class solutions for our digital experience. You’ll be an advocate for design as work collaboratively with other designers, engineers, and PMs. If you’re interested in the position, here are a few things you’ll get to do and the qualifications that will make you successful in this role.

As our Senior Product Designer, You’ll Get to...

• Own and lead the customer experience and design of Fundera's digital experience.
• Be responsible the design direction and strategy for specific user and customer flows in the experience.
• Design at all levels of fidelity including whiteboard sketches, wireframes, visual designs and transition animations.
• Work closely with Product Managers and Director of Design to define problem spaces, design solutions, and help drive product strategy.
• Generate a range of design options to solve problems and present the trade-offs of different approaches clearly and early.
• Balance qualitative and quantitative insights in the design process, pulling in the right inputs to influence design decisions.
• Be an advocate for design thinking and be an ambassador of design culture, promoting the role and its importance to the company and our vision

We’re Looking for People Who Have...

• 4+ years of experience in product design with hands-on experience turning complex problems into simple and engaging customer experiences for web and mobile.
• A portfolio that illustrates complex problem solving ability, comprehension of fundamental development frameworks, and design skills; specifically, ideation sketches, flow maps, wireframes, web and/or mobile app product designs, visual design projects or website builds.
• The ability to communicate complex rationale - visuals, written, and spoken - with clarity, brevity, detail, and a point of view.
• Experience working with senior leadership and multi-disciplinary teams in fast moving environments.
• Experience leading projects and process spanning insights, ideation and validation through to design implementation.
• Experience partnering with Product Managers to develop strategy, project scope and roadmap.
• Experience with a variety of approaches to problem solving and product development.
• The ability to utilize user research, analytics, and strategy to back design choices.
• Knowledge of the requirements of the creative process including typical time and resources needed to produce quality work on time with efficiency, and to specification.
• The ability to be both an excellent collaborator and autonomous -- you know how to communicate effectively with teammates at all levels and take ownership of every detail of your work.
