Zearn is looking for a UX generalist with a particular focus on wireframe designs and user flows. You will do everything from prototyping to research, requirements gathering to wireframes. This position involves doing work across both our student and educator experiences, so an interest in all types of users and all types of interfaces is a must. You could be designing anything from math lessons and games to data reports and account set up flows. We like to think carefully about how our features support student learning and teacher teaching, so we need someone who likes to get the details right while keeping the whole system in mind.

What you'll do:

• Work closely with the UX Director, Creative Director, Product Managers, and Developers to create necessary design deliverables in an agile and collaborative environment
• Design, execute, and share results for user research, usability tests, and competitive audits
• Gather requirements, define business logic, create objectives, and reach consensus with stakeholders
• Create original wireframes and prototypes to communicate and test your interface designs
• Help expand, maintain, and evangelize our design system and style guide
• Aid the product managers in writing functional specs for the dev team
• Manage and execute multiple projects simultaneously
• Identify and deliver continuous improvements to our processes and systems

Ideal candidates will:

• Be both collaborative, flexible, and tenacious in service of making the work the best it can be
• Have a portfolio that showcases their expertise in all of the above areas
• Have at least 5 years of experience in design overall, with at least 2 years of experience in UX Design
• Have designed for both desktop and mobile and be passionate about both
• Have the skills to use all the most current design programs for wireframes, prototypes and final design when necessary (ex. Sketch, inVision, Adobe CS, etc.)
• Understand the process of digital product design, its possibilities and limitations
• Be able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and hit deadlines consistently
• Have experience designing for children (a plus)
• Have experience in game design (a plus)
