The Role:

The UX Researcher will design, conduct, and analyze research to inform our product and design decisions. You’ll play an active role in shaping the product team’s roadmap by understanding and advocating for the needs of our users (whether they be students, teachers, school district leadership). You will conduct generative and evaluative research using the best approaches for the situation, then share findings in persuasive, memorable, actionable ways with confidence in verbal, visual, and written reporting. You’ll work to translate complex user and business problems and feature requests into actionable research questions that get at the heart of a problem and determine the best method for discovering evidence.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

You’ll be joining a team of passionate designers and researchers at the forefront of building products that shape the future of K-12 education, reaching over 25 million users nationwide. You’ll be fully part of the product process, guiding priorities and validating solutions, and you’ll get to witness firsthand the impact your work has on helping to make reading more accessible and engaging for students.

Why We’ll Love You:

You have 2+ years of experience working in applied research and can demonstrate leadership in designing a research approach to inform new product needs. You’re a confident speaker who can build relationships across teams, and effectively communicate research findings that address user and business problems to different audiences (team members, leadership, a 6 year old student). You’re confident in inferential statistics, and ideally have a strong background in quantitative analysis. You may even have experience working in K-12 education, and can demonstrate a nuanced understanding of the problems faced by students and teachers.
