Who You Are

Justworks is seeking a Director of Marketing Operations that will help us in our next stage of growth. This leadership position demands someone who can blend strategic thinking with operational excellence, ensuring our marketing strategies are not only innovative but also executed to support our multiproduct efforts. As the Director of Marketing Operations, you will lead a forward-thinking marketing operations team, working in close partnership with our marketing team, product team, business operations team, and engineering team. Your role will ensure that our marketing systems and workflows are robust, scalable, and capable of supporting complex multi-product campaigns that drive revenue growth.With a passion for precision and efficiency, you will be at the forefront of creating and implementing marketing solutions that accurately reflect the needs of our growing business. 

Your Success Profile

In your role as Director, Marketing Operations, reporting directly to the Director, Revenue Operations, you will be the cornerstone for developing and enhancing our marketing infrastructure, workflows, and analytics capabilities. You'll collaborate extensively across various marketing functions and with key stakeholders to craft and refine processes that enable us to execute more effectively, make smarter decisions, and achieve operational superiority. Your strategic vision and hands-on expertise will be crucial in elevating Justworks' market presence and contributing directly to our continued success.

Your mission is to bring forward-thinking strategies and execute them to the most critical areas of the Justworks’s future.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Operations Planning: Craft and execute a strategic marketing operations plan that supports our multi product offering, ensuring scalability and alignment with our overall business objectives. Develop and enforce marketing technical standards and best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Leadership Excellence: Lead with a visionary approach, providing mentorship and guidance to the marketing operations team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, emphasizing continuous improvement and the delivery of superior marketing solutions.

Operational Oversight: Manage the development and maintenance of essential marketing systems and processes while continuously enhancing our analytical, testing, and deployment methodologies to maintain our competitive edge.

Cross-functional Synergy: Work hand in hand with various departments, including product, engineering, business intelligence and business operations, to refine product offerings and market strategies. Enhance product delivery efficiency through strategic partnerships and collaboration.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Collaborate with business operation leaders to foster a data-centric approach within the organization, leveraging data engineering strategies to inform decision-making processes and marketing effectiveness.

Team Building and Development: Cultivate a high-caliber marketing operations team by attracting top talent, setting clear performance standards, and offering continuous development opportunities and feedback.

Innovation and Process Improvement: Seek and implement innovative solutions and process improvements, aiming to streamline operations and enrich the customer and prospect experience.

This role requires a dynamic leader who is ready to take on the challenges and opportunities of our new multi product world, driving strategic marketing operations that support Justworks' commitment to small businesses.

As a Director of Marketing Operations, how results are achieved is paramount for your success and ultimately result in our success as an organization. In this role, your foundational knowledge, skills, abilities and personal attributes are anchored in the following:

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing operations, demand generation, or a similar role within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment is required.
  • Strong expertise in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Customer.io) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Proven track record of implementing successful marketing strategies that drive growth and efficiency.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong leadership qualities with experience managing teams and cross-functional projects.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Agile and adaptable to changing market conditions and business needs.

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $198,000.00 to $237,600.00 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
