ClassPass is looking for an experienced engineer with in-depth database experience to help us take our data layer to the next level.

The ideal candidate will be experienced with SQL generally, and have deep knowledge of MySQL/InnoDB and PostgreSQL in AWS. They will be experienced working with ETL pipelines, including incremental updating.

Responsibilities:

• Developing new ETL processes, and maintenance of existing ones

• Supporting and scaling our production MySQL and PostgreSQL databases

• Providing technical assistance and advice to product engineers and BI analysts

Requirements:

• A terrific attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

• A curious nature, someone who seeks to understand how things work at a deep level.

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, or equivalent

• 3 years of professional software development experience

• Expertise with SQL in both OLTP and OLAP environments

• Experience with either MySQL/InnoDB or PostgreSQL

Desirable:

• Experience with Presto or AWS Athena

• Experience with Looker
