Republic is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to play an integral part in building and scaling our investment platform. 

As a DevOps Engineer, you will improve our infrastructure and our testing and deployment pipelines. You will monitor for system health and build a support operating model to enable our rapidly growing investor base.

What you'll do:

• Develop monitoring and alerting systems utilizing modern best practices at CI/CD process
• Design self-healing infrastructure
• Debug intricate production issues
• Develop tools for usage by development and QA teams
• Improve service reliability through testing, root cause analysis, and postmortem
• Solve availability, reliability, and latency issues across application stack
• Participate in 24x7 On-Call rotation

Our ideal candidate:

• 5+ years of DevOps/SRE experience
• Experience maintaining production Kubernetes cluster(s)
• Experience maintaining production applications written on Ruby on Rails, React (?), NodeJS
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (NewRelic, GrayLog, RollBar, AWS CloudWatch)
• Experience with CloudFlare service
• Experience with Nginx web server
• Experience with administration of various AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53, IAM, EKS and more)
• Prior experience with CI/CD and associated toolsets (Jenkins, Github Actions)
• Strong grasp of deployment automation and configuration management on AWS (Ansbile/Terraform)
• Skilled at clearly articulating design ideas while being receptive to constructive criticism
