Spruce is looking for a Director of DevOps. This position reports to the VP of Engineering and will lead the DevOps team to build, deploy, and maintain our internal and external systems, grow the DevOps team to meet organizational needs and work closely with Product, Software Engineering and Security teams to keep Spruce’s technology infrastructure running smoothly.

What you'll do

• Grow, lead and coach a team of high-performing DevOps engineers
• Be familiar with and lead your team to adhere to industry best practices in the areas of cloud operations, orchestration, virtualization, containerization and information security
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders in Software Engineering, Product and Information Security to collectively meet organizational goals

Who you are

• You have 10+ years of industry experience showing growth and progressive responsibility
• You have 5+ years of experience managing and leading teams of DevOps professionals
• You are knowledgeable in the areas of systems design, reliability, scalability, edge cases, and fault tolerance
• You have experience implementing Information Security protocols and stay informed of industry best practices with respect to system vulnerabilities and mitigation approaches
• You focus on the needs of both internal and external usersYou have significant experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure)
