Is This Role Right for Me?

The mission of the Director of Engineering, Growth & Data is to partner with the Director of Product on strategy for how Fundera continues to grow traffic. This role will ensure that the engineering team is driving growth in the business by constantly shipping the most important products, exceeding the expectations of internal and external stakeholders, and maintaining a high-quality codebase. In this role, you will be part of shaping the engineering culture and team that attracts and nurtures A-Players, works effectively with product, design, and other business units, and can independently make smart decisions informed by business context and objectives.

As Our Director of Engineering, Growth & Data, You'll Get to...

• Partner closely with key business and product stakeholders to build a roadmap focused on the application and platform strategies to support the SMB experience and supply side partnerships.
• Collaborate and lead discussions and brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Sales, Business Development and Operations.
• Partner with product to align on roadmap and backlog.
• Partner with product on sprints, decision-making, and consensus-building to manage projects from concept to successful launch.
• Work to improve overall engineering efficiency for your team(s) and all of engineering through improved processes and procedures.
• Lead, mentor and help provide career growth to your team(s).
• Maximize our on and offshore relationships with engineering teams.
• Help architect solutions that allow us to determine build vs buy, partner vs internal decision around build outs.

We're Looking for People Who Have...

• 7+ years of professional experience in engineering management, preferably with a background in publishing or e-commerce.
• Significant experience working with and/or driving the efforts and leading an engineering team to achieve the goals of a product and marketing team. 
• Ability to shift from high-level strategic thinking to stepping in driving execution.
• A strong problem-solver with exceptional analytical and communication skills.
• Extremely organized and detail oriented.
• High level of proficiency and experience in multi-variant testing.
• Experience managing on and offshore engineers. Including managing engineering managers and leads.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment with exceptional organizational skills and ability to re-prioritize on a consistent basis.
