Maven is looking for a Director, Security to join our Engineering organization. If working across a broad swath of security domains, and providing expertise to help our teams to level up their security capabilities sounds exciting, you might be a good fit! We are looking for a skilled leader that is up for working with engineers, legal, compliance, sales, and others to help drive security strategy and awareness across Maven.
As a Director, Security at Maven, you will:
- Own the vision for Maven's security controls in close collaboration with Engineering and Legal
- Ensure that our policies keep us in compliance with HIPAA, SOC2 and other standards, in collaboration with the Privacy Officer
- Drive the Business Continuity Plan in collaboration with Business and Engineering teams.
- Work closely with security and infrastructure engineers
- Proactively and continuously evaluate the risk landscape for Maven
- Increase security awareness across all of Maven
- Proactively identify security risks across all of Maven
- Enhance an Incident Response plan and Process for Maven as we scale
- Own our identity and access management strategy for all users
- Create and own the roadmap for scaling security across all of Maven
- Manage the security and risk level for SaaS products across all of Maven
- Represent Maven’s information security interest with external bodies
- Work on vendor security questionnaires
- Run internal security audits
- Drive data loss prevention strategy
We’re looking for you to bring:
- You believe the best security teams are partners with the rest of the organization, not barriers (see: Honest Security).
- You have at least 7 years of experience working in security
- You have at least 4 years of experience managing people
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- You have worked in a fast paced and product-driven environment
Helpful experiences and skills (if you don’t have them, you can learn them with us!):
- You have worked in a high growth startup before
- You have worked in security in a healthcare setting and are well versed in HIPAA and HITRUST
