The Role

As a Docs Engineer, you will become a product expert capable of teaching people of all backgrounds key technical concepts through writing. You handle language the way our developers handle code, meaning you strive to be the best at what you do and you relentlessly iterate towards quality outcomes. You will work collaboratively across all engineering teams to identify what document—whether it be a reference, tutorial, FAQ, Javadoc, or even an email—best solves each problem.

In this role you will:

• Become an authority on backend products.
• Work with the development team to research, test, and document new features.
• Craft and test example code.
• Design and write technical overviews and tutorials.
• Maintain and improve both our internal and external document infrastructure.

What We Value

• B.S. or equivalent experience.
• Skilled in Java or another object-oriented language.
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux.
• A passion for writing and teaching.
