We are looking for a Front-end Developer to join an agile team of problem solvers in either our Los Angeles or New York office. Strong alignment with the values and principles of the software craftsmanship movement is imperative. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years experience in front-end development, excellent personal organization, and attention to detail as well as a love of software craftsmanship and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Primary Objectives
- Develop expertise on all CAIS software development properties
- Create valuable, high quality software as a competitive advantage for CAIS
- Work in a team environment to implement and maintain the CAIS platform, improving the experience for our customers with every release
- Write readable, testable, and maintainable code
- Collaborate to understand and improve our technical practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally
- Relentlessly pursue automation
- Manage relationships with internal, non-technology stakeholders
- Balance both long and short-term priorities, helping us to plan creatively and innovate
Qualifications
- 3+ years of front-end development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a programming, user experience/design or technology discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Experience writing testable and maintainable code
- Experience with styling HTML with CSS, bringing UX design assets to life as working software
- Experience with CSS 3 preprocessors like LESS and SASS
- Experience consuming web services through AJAX
- Comfort with GIT or similar version control software
- Excellent ability to solve open-ended problems in an elegant, scalable manner; critical thinker
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in teams and independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
