Position:  Front End Web Developer Intern

Showroom is looking for a highly motivated, hardworking, Front End Web Developer Intern.  This internship will work directly with our CTO to develop the front end of our on-demand fashion platform.  We are looking for skilled developers who are able to manage various work streams under a tight timeline.  The ideal candidate is able to balance programming with practicality to ensure an efficient and seamless customer facing platform.

Core Requirements

• Proficient understanding of web markup, specifically HTML and CSS
• Proficient in JavaScript and its associated environments and libraries, specifically NodeJS and React
• A Minimum of one year of front end web development experience. 
• Computer science degree (or in-process degree) is a plus

Job Description

• Develop new user-facing features for the Showroom platform
• Build reusable code and libraries for current and future functionality
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to improve the front end components of the web application.
