Our services division, RubensteinTech, is seeking an experienced front-end engineer who shares our passion and can execute sophisticated interactive designs to the pixel.
Overview
The ideal candidate will be able to ask the right questions and see beyond a given assignment, understanding how the task at hand relates to the implementation of an empowering user experience for the users/visitors of the website or web application.
Our body of work includes the following websites, to name a few, each featuring complex, JavaScript-powered interfaces built from the ground up: NIZUC, Bryan Cave, Wolf-Gordon
In addition to client projects, accepted candidates will have the opportunity (if desired) to work on our RubyApps product development – our next generation content marketing platform with a 15-year track record of forward-thinking UI/UX and a focus on delivering a powerful user experience.
Candidates will explore and/or further strengthen their knowledge of the following technologies in actual day-to-day project/product tasks:
JavaScript
HTML5
CSS3
Node
React
Browserify
Babel/ES6
Sass
Perl
PHP
Elasticsearch
Couchbase
DevOps

Required skills:
2-3 years of professional programming experience
Extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
Must be able to legally work in the United States without RubyApps/RubensteinTech sponsorship
Desired skills:
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular
Experience developing and customizing sites built on open source content management systems like WordPress
Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign

This is not a remote position. Candidates should have access to transportation to the RubyApps/RubensteinTech office located in downtown New York City.
