Seeking Junior AWS Administrator to Support Luxury Automotive Solutions

Sulzer US, LLC is a dynamic group of bright, innovative young professionals teaming up to improve the automotive tech experience. We are looking for a Junior AWS Administrator to work closely with a team of Support Specialists. The Junior AWS Administrator will assume the following responsibilities:

• Migrate existing on-premises applications to AWS
• Evaluate and improve existing AWS deployments
• Perform routine system administration and engineering tasks as directed, such as verifying backup jobs are working as expected, reviewing logs, inspecting server configurations, etc.
• Responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining and troubleshooting the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly. The role requires you to have hands on technical experience and a can-do approach towards environment automation.
• Develop and work with REST services
• Suggest architecture improvements, recommending process improvements.
• Support Kubernetes Platform and platform services deployment like Logging, Monitoring etc
• Work in an Agile Software Development Live Cycle and collaborate with operation engineers to support installing and operating the kubernetes platform
• Engage with clients via a help desk, email, direct communication channels such as Slack, and periodic meetings
• Have a working knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Work closely with overseas colleagues at Sulzer GmbH.

What does the ideal candidate look like?

We are looking for a Junior AWS Administrator with a minimum of 1 year of software AWS experience. Proficiency in Linux and Windows system administration, understanding of Kubernetes technology, prior administration experience with Windows Server 2012+. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server/.NET a plus. Will demonstrate the ability to work independently, and apply critical thinking and sound judgment. AWS certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer is a plus.
